    Hi all,
I'm from the Netherlands, and found this forum by searching on the internet.
I'm a hobby woodturner, started with this wonderful hobby in 2001 after my retirement, so I have some experience.
Was from my profession mechanical engineer, and like it to make my own tools, and devices.
Hope having a nice time on this forum, anyway it looks very interesting to me.

Hello. I am also retired and spend time doing small turnings on a mini-lathe. Everyone in the family is well stocked with pens and pencils now.:D
    Welcome.

Thanks oldnamvet for your warm welcome.
I notice not many woodturnings to see on this forum till now.
I understand this forum is brandnew, might be the reason.
I'll try to do something about this, by posting soon some WIP pictures from a roughly turned maple bowl I'm busy with.
Well having the status of retired means having the best thinkable life, isn't it.
    Best regards, Ad

Hi Ad - yes it is a new forum and just getting going. There are lots of woodturning forums out there but some are so far advanced in what they are doing that I feel out of place. Yes, the retired life can be fun and relatively stress free at times. Seems like things other than woodworking still take up most of my time.
Check out http://www.sawmillcreek.org/forumdisplay.php?f=20 for more turning info as well.
