Frame for beveled arched mirror?

    Hello All,

    My name is Rey and Im sort of in a pickle here. I have a mirror that I need to make a frame for, easy right? Well, not so much for me. Ive made other frames for mirrors without much trouble and they all turned out great, however, this mirror is a beveled arched mirror and I have NO IDEA on how to make a frame for this.

    The only way Ive ever made a frame for the other mirrors was as follows:
    1. cut my 4 pieces
    2. made my 45ยบ cuts
    3. routed out grooves where mirror would sit.
    4. assembled three pieces, slide mirror in, and finish off.

    I initially thought about doing it the same way, but really unsure of how I would route out the groove on the arched part.

    Does anyone know where I might find a tutorial or a guide for doing something like this?
    P.S. Im sort of a novice woodworker, have limited tools and limited experience/knowledge. Any info or help is surely appreciated!!

    If you have a router table you should be able to rout the edges of a curved piece using a slot cutting bit with a bearing on it.
    If you don't have a router table you will need to make sure the piece is clamped down and you should be able to run the router on the edge. The difficult part is keeping the router square with the edge on thinner pieces. You might need to place an extra piece of wood beside the piece to be routed to help keep the router level and square with the piece being routed.
